Lieblingsmensch
Someone chose you because you matter.
Lieblingsmensch is German for "favorite person". In Bearhugme, your Lieblingsmensch is the person you choose to notify if you miss your daily tap.
Two people, one small ritual
Bearhugme takes two, and it works both ways. You each tap the bear once a day. No message to write, no explanation. And you each see the other's sign: tapped today, all good. A time, a quiet status, one moment less worry. You are each other's Lieblingsmensch.
That can be your daughter, your husband, your best friend. Someone who does not want to check up on you, just to breathe out for a second.
What you receive as a Lieblingsmensch
If the person you care about does not tap within their chosen time window, Bearhugme can send you a notification. It is a prompt to reach out. It is not a diagnosis, an emergency alert, or proof that something has happened.
What you do not receive
- No location tracking
- No health data
- No continuous activity monitoring
- No access to private messages
What a Lieblingsmensch is not
- Not an emergency contact. Bearhugme does not replace a home emergency call system or emergency services.
- Not surveillance. You only see the daily sign. No location, no online status.
- Not a chat replacement. When you want to talk, you talk. Bearhugme is for the in-between.
- Not an obligation. If a day is missed, no algorithm decides what that means. You do.
What to do if you are worried
Use your own judgement. Send a message, call, or contact someone nearby. If you believe there is an immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services directly.
If you do not want this role
You can decline an invitation. If you accepted and want to be removed later, contact the person who invited you or email [email protected].
